Prominent FeaturesStory : Club Kilsyth is situated at the base of the beautiful Dandenong Ranges approximately 45 kilometres from the Melbourne CBD. The club operated for 12 years on it's present site until a disastrous fire in January 2006 completely destroyed the original building. Service National had serviced the club's operable walls for many years and was immediately called in by the Kilsyth Clubs Manager, Sue Munro and her Project Architect, to offer specification and design advice. Within months the project plans were complete and a builder appointed. Service National were made a nominated sub-contractor to supply and install DORMA Hueppe operable walls and DORMA glass wall systems throughout the new complex. Graeme Archbold, Service Nationals Sales & Service Manager said that the DORMA Hueppe installation consists of 40 panels 3400mm high featuring Craftsmen Teak stained Mountain Ash veneered panel faces incorporating hardwood moldings. The panels were manufactured to achieve an STC rating of 47 and provide flexible function areas in the dining room, corporate function, lounge and committee room locations. The two DORMA glass walls provide flexibility to the dining room area and are a real point of interest to club patrons as the walls abut up to each side of a sandstone fireplace and chimney. www.clubkilsyth.com.au |
